TAFAL (CLAY MODELLING)
The Clay tradition is practised around Malta and Gozo. This art is normally related to religion, churches and statues. Small amount of local clay is used, however foreign clay is more widely used. Clay model is then baked into terracotta, and when completely dried it can be refined with oil paints or other pigments to give a protection layer from environmental elements.
